Lately I’ve been trying to go outside more. I swear I’m not a NEET 😂 so making a newsletter that makes me go outside to try things or make things will for sureeeeee do that for me… hahahah…hahhhh…
Anyway, I’ve taken up to making a free newsletter to make myself be more conscious of myself and share little things that I think would make people laugh or cringe 🤷🏻♀️ I may be cringe but I am FREE. I’m wanting to do more webcomic stuff so one of these topics I have listed above will be in a 4 panel comic with some explanation… I hope this will get me to draw more. Even if it’s not something not super interesting.
I’m setting high expectations for myself with these parameters but pls give me some grace 🙂↕️
Anyway here is my little newsletter for you.
I’ve been exclusively listening to j-metal for forever. BUT I do listen to other things when I’m trying to get into a meditative state to do stuff.
Here are some bands that I listen to hehe
Last Dinosaurs - first 3 major albums are usually on repeat for when I want to feel more engaged in my work
FLOW - because who doesn’t like to listen to the Code Geass opening over and over and over (oh and the Naruto openings for sure)
Asian Kung-fu Generation - Speaking of Naruto… AKFG make my favorite opening that I listen to when I want to sing in the shower.
Some podcasts??? Do y’all listen to podcasts?
I like to listen to podcasts when I don’t want to think about anything at all… is that bad?
Stories with Sapphire - If you didn’t know… I really like paranormal/scary things. So I listen to Sapphire a lot when I’m walking around or on long haul flights. I started listening to Snarled on YouTube was making its rounds when they were the host/animator.
Let’s Not Meet: A True Horror Podcast - Again… I like scary things and scary Reddit stories are kind of fun to zone out to.
I’ve been reading specifically romance manga/manwa about reincarnated villainesses that only get revenge and a lot of fluffy yaoi.
If you have recommendations plssssss let me know! I’m always in the search for new things to binge read.
Here are some stuff I am reading/gearing up to read
Ki in Natteru Hito ga Otoko ja Nakatta (the green yuri) - I’ve been obsessively reading since Arai Sumiko posted the little doodles on twitter (yes I still call it twitter Elon can suck my dick). I’ve been translating it myself this entire time so I’m getting GREAT Japanese reading practice.
The Youngest has Many Secrets - I don’t know I saw it on TikTok and it seemed cute. You’ll be seeing a lot of these explanations… I’m chronically on TikTok and get a lot of my recommendations from there.
The Two Lovebirds are Hiding Their Fangs: The story of a couple with a crazy gap - Okay the crazy gap part is misleading. They’re the same age and in high school (pls I just want some adult romance stuff but everyone writes about high school… sigh). They’re hiding that they’re both delinquents and or a yakuza bancho something like that and the art is nice.
There are more but that would make this a 1 hr read…
I also exclusively only watch romance anime’s but here is my myanimelist link. You can kind of see all the ones I’ve watched that I tried to add the other month.

I’ve been mainly cooking at home but lately here are some places I’ve eaten out at that I recommend. I’ll do recipes next time and switch it up each issue.
My current favorite places
Salumi - Pioneer Square
My husband and I have been obsessively going there after I had a BLT and he had a hot sandwich. He thought the hot sandwich was good but deeply preferred my BLT (and ate half of my sandwich). So now we kind of go as often as we are in Pioneer Square.
Day Made Kaffe Bar - Pioneer Square
We like to go here in the mornings to work on stuff. The baristas are great and we have become regulars there. They remember our orders now 🥺 I like working in their loft area since it’s away from the door and I can focus on what I’m working on.
URL - First Hill
We first started going to URL a few years ago when we were living near by. I would say URL is my favorite cafe to work at and I enjoy their teas. They often get super busy (yay!) so most times we sit wherever there’s space for us.
Oasis Tea Zone - CID
I super like Oasis since it’s by the streetcar and link. I usually get a strawberry milk tea WITH egg pudding. I highly recommend egg pudding in every drink you could possibly get. Plus they’re open quite late so if I’m in the area and it’s like 9pm I can always hang out and get a little drink.
Fort St. George - CID
My favorite place for a melon soda. I’m addicted to melon soda… so you can imagine how often we go here. I like their food and we’ve become regulars there. I highly recommend the garlic mayo spaghetti. Yes that sounds weird since it is a Japanese restaurant but you 100% MUST believe me when I say I order that every time I’m there.
